Key points
- Financed is a new payment method in the cart: buy fractions today and pay later, interest-free.
- It can be used by those who have at least US$500 invested; the credit limit is 30% of what you have invested with your own money.
- As long as there is an outstanding balance, your fractions remain as collateral: they cannot be transferred, and if you sell, the debt is paid first.
- A useful strategy: pay off the credit with the income generated by your fractions, so the purchase is paid for with its own earnings.

What is Financed payment
Financed is a new payment method in the CityFraction cart. Instead of paying the full amount immediately, you use your credit limit: the fractions go into your portfolio from the first moment and the amount remains as an outstanding balance that you pay later.
Financing is interest-free: you pay exactly the purchase price. There are no study fees or management charges.
Who can use it and how much credit do you have
The credit limit is available to those who already have at least US$500 invested on the platform. The available amount is 30% of what you have invested with your own money, minus what you already owe.
Fractions purchased on credit do not count towards calculating a new credit limit until you finish paying for them: we do not grant credit on fractions that are still owed. You can see your credit limit in My Account → Balance → Credit, and it also appears in the cart when choosing Financed.
How the collateral works
As long as there is an outstanding balance, your fractions back the credit. In practice:
- You cannot transfer them or trade them until you pay off the balance.
- You can sell them, as long as the sale covers everything you owe: the outstanding amount is instantly deducted from the sale proceeds and the remainder goes to your balance.
- When you finish paying, all your fractions are immediately free.
The strategy: let the purchase pay for itself with what it generates
CityFraction fractions generate income that is credited to your balance. If you use that income to pay off the credit, the financed purchase is paid off largely with its own earnings, and you keep your liquidity for other things.
It’s a way to grow your portfolio without paying everything upfront today. That said: income is estimated and varies with occupancy and season, so it’s wise to supplement payments with your own balance and not rely solely on it.
| Concept | Value |
| Invested with own money | US$2,000 |
| Available credit (30%) | US$600 |
| Financed purchase | US$600 (12 fractions of US$50) |
| Interest | 0 % |
| Estimated income from those fractions (14% annual) | ≈ US$7 al mes |
| If you pay the income + US$50 per month | You pay off the credit in about 11 months |

How to buy with Financed
Add fractions to the cart, accept the contract, and at the payment step, choose Financed. If the total is within your limit, confirm and the fractions will be instantly added to your portfolio. To pay, go to My Account → Balance → Credit and add the amount you want, or pay everything at once.
Frequently asked questions
Does the financing have interest or hidden fees?
No. You pay exactly the purchase price, with no interest or management fees.
What happens if I want to sell a fraction while I still owe?
You can sell if the sale covers everything you owe: the outstanding amount is deducted instantly and the rest remains in your balance. Transfers or trades remain blocked until you pay off the debt.
Can I pay in installments?
Yes. Pay whenever you want from your balance, in the amounts you prefer, or pay everything in a single payment.
Is the rent automatically used to pay the credit?
No: the rent goes to your balance and you decide when to apply it to the credit from My Account.
